Leather Texture: Pebble, Smooth, Saffiano and Napped
Texture is the surface geometry of leather — natural, embossed or napped — and it changes both how a piece looks and how it hides wear.
Two bags cut from the same hide can read entirely differently depending on texture. It is a design decision with practical consequences for scratch visibility.
Smooth
Shows every mark; the most formal and the most demanding.
Pebble
A raised, irregular grain that camouflages scuffs — ideal for daily bags.
Saffiano
Machine-pressed cross-hatch with a hard finish; extremely scratch-resistant, low patina.
Napped
Suede and nubuck; matte, soft, absorbent.
