Wallet Size Guide: Formats, Capacity and Pocket Fit
Dimensions and capacity for card holders, slim bifolds, classic bifolds and travel wallets — with pocket-fit guidance.
Wallet formats are not standardised, so compare millimetres and card counts rather than names.
Front pocket versus back pocket
Anything over 100 mm wide belongs in a jacket or front pocket, not a back one.
Capacity creep
Wallets rated for twelve cards are usually comfortable with eight.
Passport formats are different
Travel wallets are sized around a 125 × 88 mm passport, so they never fit a trouser pocket.
