The Leather Maintenance Schedule: Weekly, Seasonal, Annual
A calendar you can actually keep: two minutes weekly, twenty minutes seasonally, an hour once a year.
Care fails when it has no schedule. This is the routine we give every customer at the workshop.
Weekly — 2 minutes
Wipe or brush the surface, empty pockets, check stitching at stress points.
Seasonally — 20 minutes
Clean thoroughly, condition lightly, re-treat protector, check hardware screws.
Annually — 1 hour
Deep clean, condition, restore edges, resole footwear if needed, rotate storage.
